It was a very good week for the William Woods volleyball workforce.
The Owls swept the weekly honors within the American Midwest Convention, as Hannah Kuehl was named the attacker of the week, Tori Rosemann earned the defender of the week award and Tess Schannuth was acknowledged because the setter of the week.
That is Schannuth’s second AMC Setter of the Week honor. The junior tallied 118 assists in three matches this week, together with 53 in a win in opposition to Stephens School. She additionally recorded 10 digs in opposition to Stephens School.
Schannuth had 45 assists and 14 digs in Saturday’s non-conference defeat at Lincoln School.
Lincoln School defeated William Woods 25-23, 27-25, 21-25, 22-25, 15-9.
Rosemann acquired defender of the week honors for the second time this season, totaling 79 digs in three matches.
The junior racked up 45 digs within the match in opposition to Lincoln School.
Kuehl was strong in every match final week, getting 14 kills in opposition to Lincoln School, 11 in a win in opposition to Williams Baptist and 10 in opposition to Stephens School.
Kate Doerhoff led the Owls with 14 kills in opposition to Lincoln School. Religion McQueen added 11 kills and Lanie Lowrie completed with 10.
Emily Greif and Ally Konarzewski completed in double figures in digs with 14 and 13, respectively.
William Woods (4-2, 4-0 AMC) will proceed convention play Thursday in opposition to Harris-Stowe in St. Louis.
